Registration Open for the 2015 Trail!

Registration is now open for the 2015 trail! We’re excited to announce the return of all of last year’s sponsors while we add a few new ones as well! We’re super excited to be adding Lake Mitchell to the trail, just in time for you to see the beautiful Cahaba Lilies in bloom if you head to Hatchet Creek that day. Share the schedule around with your friends and please join us! Please note a date change on the Coosa Classic from the original announcement – we polled our anglers and just about everyone preferred we move it to the summer.

All proceeds of the tournament go to Coosa Riverkeeper – a citizen-based river conservation group working to protect your river. The cost to enter is $45 per event if you register 10 days or more in advance of each stage, or $55 if you register within 10 days of the stage. You’ll be able to skip the Captain’s Meeting for an additional $10 (100% of which goes to Coosa Riverkeeper) and print off your unique token at home if you can’t make it Friday night. The best deal if you plan to make it to at least 4 stages is to buy the season pass for $225 which will automatically register you for each stage (no need to remember to register on time!) and get you passes to skip all the Captain’s Meetings. What a deal! Only available before the end of March!

We’re looking forward to another great year with you all! Follow the Tournament’s Facebook page for the most regular updates!

Stay tuned – some informational videos about the tournament are coming soon!

The 2014 Neely Henry Open presented by Greater Gadsden Area Tourism is in the books! 28 competitors gathered Friday night at Back Forty Beer Co. in Gadsden for the Captain’s Meeting and to enjoy live music from Bernie Worrell Orchestra and the christening ceremony for Coosa Riverkeeper’s new patrol boat, the Laura Moore II. Saturday morning they were off at 5:15am on the many beautiful creeks that flow into Lake Neely Henry. The threat of thunderstorms held off and it was a long, hot day. Around 4pm, anglers trickled into Blackstone Pub & Eatery for the weigh in and to refresh themselves with food and beverage. While no records were broken this weekend, 3 of the Top 5 finishers were all first timers to our tournament trail! Check out photos from the weekend! Congratulations to our winners!
