The 2014 Neely Henry Open presented by Greater Gadsden Area Tourism is in the books! 28 competitors gathered Friday night at Back Forty Beer Co. in Gadsden for the Captain’s Meeting and to enjoy live music from Bernie Worrell Orchestra and the christening ceremony for Coosa Riverkeeper’s new patrol boat, the Laura Moore II. Saturday morning they were off at 5:15am on the many beautiful creeks that flow into Lake Neely Henry. The threat of thunderstorms held off and it was a long, hot day. Around 4pm, anglers trickled into Blackstone Pub & Eatery for the weigh in and to refresh themselves with food and beverage. While no records were broken this weekend, 3 of the Top 5 finishers were all first timers to our tournament trail! Check out photos from the weekend! Congratulations to our winners!
